My new car

Here's the update to the earlier blog post about my husband's car accident in early March.

We got a new car today! Actually, it's a used car, but it's new to us.  I find car shopping overwhelming.  There are a gazillion choices of cars and who to purchase one from.  I went through a lot of scenarios, but at the end of the day, I though the most important thing was to find a car that would not put me in a financial bind.

I drive past a used car dealer every day between work and daycare, so I decided to check out the stock.  I found a car that is from 2009, but only has 24,000.  It wasn't a car that was even remotely on my radar, but the miles were low and the price was right.  It's got a funny look, but is surprisingly roomy inside.  esides, a car purchase is not for the rest of my life, I can always change in a couple of year.  So, without further adieu, here she is, my new to me eggplant.

  1. I like your eggplant. We just bought a van...a used one but new to us...kind of like you...liked the low mileage. Here's to a lot of fun trips in your car. Jackie http://familytrove.blogspot.com/

  3. My husband is a car freak and he wants me to be sure to pass on a few thoughts on your new car. You have a good one, Forbes magazine rated this car one likely to reach 250,000 miles. He would love to have one with such low mileage. So enjoy!

  4. What's the brand and model of this car? There's no problem buying used cars, as long as they're cheap and work properly. It's very practical to buy used cars nowadays, especially because new car models are being launched every year.

  5. I think you made a smart decision by looking at the car's mileage in deciding whether or not to buy it. Generally, cars that have traveled farther are subject to more mechanical issues. Who cares if it looks funny? If it drives well and doesn't cost a fortune to maintain, then it's a great purchase.

  6. Is that really a 2009 car? We’ll it doesn’t look old as I would have expected from a 2009 car. It still looks new, and I’m quite sure it can run for longer years. Congratulations on this purchase! @ Spartan Toyota & Scion
